When you partner with Habitat Birmingham, you are not only helping local families, but also helping to provide quality affordable housing for families in need across the world. In partnership with Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat Birmingham tithes a portion of non-designated funds raised in our area to support people in need of housing assistance around the world.  Habitat Birmingham has sponsored 110 families in the following countries: Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Macedonia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Uganda by providing funding to assist with affordable housing in these countries.
 
NEW CONSTRUCTION
Anyone can sponsor a family to live in a house – individuals, corporations or the faith community. Sponsorship involves financial and volunteer support. Sponsor levels:
 
BUILDER- $50,000+:   Level includes unlimited volunteer opportunity throughout a home build and the right to designate an international family sponsorship through Habitat’s tithe program.
 
CARPENTER - $25,000:  Level includes six weekend volunteer opportunities plus unlimited weekday volunteer opportunities throughout the build.
 
PARTNER - $10,000:  Includes a minimum of three weekend and weekly weekday volunteer opportunities throughout build for up to 25 people.
 
FRIEND - $5,000:  Includes a minimum of two weekend volunteer opportunities for up to 25 people.

 
HOME REPAIR PROGRAM
A great way to inspire and engage others to take action in revitalizing communities. The focus is repairs of existing homes – one home, one block, one neighborhood at a time. Repairs are related to general poor structural conditions, roof repair, safety or accessibility modifications. A Brush With Kindness offers a fresh coat of paint for an existing home.

CORPORATE CHALLENGE- $1,000
The Corporate Challenge is a team building day, encouraging workforce unity while making a contribution to our community. The Corporate Challenge program allows corporations to involve employees in a day of volunteer service in conjunction with a financial donation from the business to support the affordable housing needs of the area. T-shirts and lunch provided by Habitat for the volunteers.
