If you would like to make recurring monthly donations, please join our Carpenters Club. Habitat Birmingham’s Carpenters Club offers you a convenient and easy way to help sustain affordable housing in Birmingham. Through a monthly draft from your savings or checking account, Habitat Birmingham processes your monthly contributions automatically without extra time, expense or paperwork on your part, or Habitat’s. Simply, your donation is more effective because processing costs are lower.

Matching Gifts
Doubling your donation through a Matching Gifts Program is an opportunity to maximize your giving. Employees make a financial contribution and the employer matches these funds. Ask your personnel office about your company's Matching Gift program.
 
Gifts of Stock
Habitat Birmingham gratefully accepts donations of stock to support our mission. Your special gift will provide affordable housing opportunities for qualified families Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Walker County and help them realize their dreams of homeownership.
 
Planned Giving
Consider leaving a lasting legacy to local families who want to build better lives for themselves and their children by including Greater Birmingham for Humanity in your estate plans. You can continue your support in your will by giving:
 
   •   Bequest in your will or revocable trust
   •   Gift of life insurance naming Habitat Birmingham as the beneficiary
   •   Gift of retirement benefits such as an IRA, 401K or 403(b)
   •   Gift of a title to real estate property
   •   Charitable gift annuity
   •   Charitable remainder trust
 
You may find that you can make a larger gift than you ever thought possible by giving the remainder of your retirement account, pension plan, or other retirement planning vehicle. This allows you to provide for your family first, then your charitable interests.
 
Many people have life insurance policies that they originally took out to protect mortgages that have since been paid or educational plans that have been completed. Such policies make excellent charitable gifts. Alternatively, you may decide to assure a large gift by purchasing a new insurance policy. If you name Greater Birmingham Habitat for Humanity as the irrevocable owner and beneficiary, the premiums are tax deductible.
