BUILDING ON FAITH - Construction starts Saturday, March 4, 2017
Building On Faith is a house-building initiative designed to join together congregations of all faiths and membership sizes to build a house in partnership with families in need of quality, affordable housing. The concept is based on going out into the community to serve others, in the way Jesus’ apostles served. House construction takes place during Lent and Advent Seasons.
Home for the Holidays is an annual 10-day house building tradition in partnership with a media sponsor and other organizations with one common goal - enabling a deserving family to purchase a 'Home for the Holidays' just in time for Christmas. Partners participate in house construction and their organization is highlighted through television advertising. Join us for Home for the Holidays 2017.

Women Build is a house construction project funded and built by women in partnership with Lowe's. More than 80,000 women from all 50 states participated in the eight previous National Women Build events nationwide. No construction skills required. Minimum age to participate is 14. Learn/use construction skills, develop friendships, have fun, make a positive difference in our community and in the lives of family's in need of affordable, quality housing. $25 registration fee.
Youth are invited to make a difference in their community during summer vacation. The goal of Students for Change is to make critical repairs to existing homes - whether the need is wheelchair ramps, fresh coat of paint or landscaping. These repairs help revitalize the community by improving the exterior appearance while also serving the needs of the homeowner. No prior construction experience or knowledge is necessary. A trained Habitat Construction Site Supervisor will be on site offering instruction, safety orientation, and guidance throughout the project. Sign up to volunteer
Home Builders Blitz engages professional home builders, subcontractors and suppliers in the home-building industry to build multiple houses simultaneously in one week. This annual house-building event increases Habitat Birmingham's house building capacity by continuing regular build schedules while professional home builders coordinate and execute the Blitz doing what they do best - organizing subs and suppliers to build houses. Planning has begun for our 2016 Home Builders Blitz. If you are a builder, subcontractor, or a company wanting to get involved, contact Habitat to find out how you can participate.
Give the Gift of Home. Houses are not given away. Your tax-deductible donation builds homes in partnership with families in need.
Swing a hammer on a construction site, volunteer at the ReStore or Habitat Office, join a committee - there are many ways to get involved.
